This is why I don’t draw her without the braid. I mean I hope you mean with her hair down? Because like that would be super hard to draw constantly 8|

Colored in some sketches I did at the train station yesterday. And it’s funny because on my train ride home, a name for RI came to me instantly lol. I came up with Patrick Durham; and like his name literally means “Nobleman Island” or “hill” since Durham has two meanings, I’m going with the most ironic one here.
But yeah I added more to the sketches I did yesterday. Gonna translate my chicken scratch handwriting.
-“Shave, why?” -“Dumb Mass, cuz of him I look like a baby faced WASP” -“♪Beer, beer is good for your heart♪” - He looks kinda old in this profile drawing, bleh -“W-what!?”

Some RI sketches, gonna add more

How bout Hampy?
So, I’m gonna skip the whole explanation on my original 13 being politicians caricatures and go straight into how he’s changed since 2009 to now. Through 2009, New Hampshire’s personality always have been the same, just through the years I’ve expanded more on it throughout the years…made him less one dimensional and well it was more to him than the stony facade. Design wise this is how he looked throughout 2009

As you can see he’s like different people in each design. And this went on months apart from one another. So yeah, didn’t know how he should look, but the personality was still the same. Somewhat? I don’t even know he was a fucking blob for a bit and it drove me crazy.
Come 2010 he actually changed again. From that Adonis looking baby faced guy to…well…an even girlier guy…but not really a guy

mostly because I didn’t know what to make NH. Therefore NH was gender neutral for a brief moment. Up until late 2010, that is when he changed to this.

The design that is the most closes to his current design. The only thing that changed was my style, which made him look much more masculine. And well his personality has remained steady for most of the ride, save for small things, little improvements and some fleshing out. But yeah, he changed a lot in the beginning. But from 2010 on down, he remained the same. Though I won’t talk about how I used to pair NHxVT not at all.

But yes, New Hampshire 2009-2013

For the character thing. How has GA evolved?
Not much has really changed about her, save for the initial design and I suppose personality. As I said with Michael (NY), the original 13 were just caricatures of politicians from back then.

Very small picture from 2008 that I had to zoom in on. Then a year later I changed up her design which is the close to what she is now. Save for personality, which was more so juvenile than what she is presently.

She was very one dimensional, much like all of my states back in 2009. And like she didn’t have much substance to her, the only thing that played nicely in her as a character was the design. Which a lot of people liked and thought it was unique. Since most GAs, at that time, were pretty much southern belles and very white.
So around 2010, I started buckling down with research and actually did crank out some profiles for my states. That’s when Georgia got some depth to her. I mostly got help from people that lived there, and friends, I thank Jayce and April for helping me so much with her ;A; You guys rock!
So she improved a lot, but I guess something that changed the most with GA is her hair. It took me forever to master drawing ethnic looking hair, you know?

And like it went from looking very fine and almost like she had a perm. Too making it look like a believable and natural kinky afro :’D which I’m so happy about. As for personality, she’s more human more believable. Motherly, strong, somewhat selfless putting other’s well being before her own most times.. And omg can she be overprotective, especially when it comes to them damn Carolinas (North worries her the most) and Alabama (who she used to hate a lot in the beginning. But through research I found one of my Southern otps o///u///o ).
So yeah, Georgia from 2008-2013

heart-of-it-all:
It was a kinda difficult time for me, anon. Yeah I had Europeans living here around that time, but it wasn’t as much as the natives that lived here. I based my alliances upon the people I trusted the most, the Shawnee and the Lenape. Some of them sided with the Americans, while others remained to be loyal to their allies, the British. Which is something I did, remained loyal to them.
However, the Americans couldn’t tell the difference—-like that’s a first—-between hostile Natives and their allies, so they just kinda killed anyone that wasn’t white…what dumbasses. *shakes her head* So it was pretty bad for a brown person like me, I mean even though I couldn’t die but still…it sucks being killed. Not a very pleasant experience. *rubs at her neck, a frown etched across her face*
Things happened, and still to this day, it pisses me off that it was allowed to happen. Innocent people being slaughtered by stupid Pennsylvania and his men. I hated him, for a very long time for what he allowed those bastards to do. It’s something I really don’t like talking about, but I’ll continue on, since it’s something you asked about. And it is something key having to do with the revolution. So, grab a seat, this is gonna be a pretty long story.

Some SD doodles.
Because I’m still drawing blanks on what I need to draw.

Haven’t drawn this bastard in a while.
Just a warm up, now time to eat.

Thank you anon, whoever you are ;v; That really means a lot to me. And here as a token of my thanks, have a quick pic of VT.

Finally finished!! Even though it started off as a doodle, I actually like how it came out :’D Nothing much to say about this except for all the stuff that’s on his bag. He likes comic book heroes, his favorite is The Flash. His buttons are of a Great Ball, Obama logo, and a “Students for Kennedy” button. Then the green circle and pink triangle button signifies alliance with gay rights.
So yeah…doodle I decided to color in of Massyface Benjibutt.
